Last one: It seems you just wanted to complain and lambaste them for misrepresenting prepping as a movement (out of self- admitted ignorance), because you had the opportunity to make it an educational opportunity and chose to flame them instead.

3rd. Emily and Jason mentioned on their podcast last week that you were going to to this episode, encouraging their listeners to check it out. Emily even said she reached out to you offering to be a part of your critique. The fact that you don’t even acknowledge that on your podcast is telling.

Your response to ”stay in your lane” really just means ”stop making fun of me and make fun of something/someone else”. The reason you would ”probably be deplatformed” if you said what Emily said is because you are, and present yourself to be, someone who is an expert in this field and whose knowledge and advice are worth following. No one was listening to Emily and Jason thinking ”that’s what I ought to do”.

2nd. Your handling of what ”staying in your lane” means. What is comedy/humor? It is not the same as being an expert in something and presenting yourself as such. Humor requires something to joke about; a subject. Sometimes it’s weather forecasters (they’re always wrong, am I right?), sometimes it’s pets, etc. For RVC, most of their humor focuses on being crunchy. In this podcast episode, they discuss preparedness, and bring their humor to bear on it.

1st. Choosing to use Urban Dictionary to define crunchy. As I hope you’re aware, this site is comprised solely of user-submitted definitions of terms, meaning that each ”definition” is just one person’s opinion/ insult. Look up the Urban Dictionary entries on Preppers. it is not positive, (or representative of your position)

Shelby, I’ve never listened to your Podcast before, nor am I a Prepper. I want to start with saying that I understand the feeling of offense when something that you take seriously is made light of or not being handled carefully. However I think you missed the mark in a couple areas in your critique here.

Shelby, Never heard of the Crunchy podcast before and after your critique would never listen to it. Other than that, I didn’t learn anything about prepping that was worth a hill of beans. Waste of an hour. Still love you guys. W Who is watching
