Episode 2 - Normalcy Bias and Numbing Down
Monday Dec 03, 2018
Monday Dec 03, 2018
Our first topic was a critical one: normalcy bias and numbing down. Normalcy bias is the trick your mind plays on you in a crisis to tell you "everything's normal and OK." It can get you killed for reasons we describe. Related to normalcy bias is "numbing down," where your start to think all the crazy stuff going on in America - riots, antifa, all sorts of badness - is just normal.

I have a few problems with the misrepresentation of some groups and to omitting of others they talk about bad about antifa and rightly so, but in the same breath they said they are afraid of fascist antifa is an anti fascist group started in the 60s in Europe and moved to the us in the 70s. Antifa is not a good group but interesting to read the history.

If your not sure about prepping listen to this episode. Then listen to it again. When my wife and I first started reading reading Glen’s work my thought was - this fun fiction, then it was man this stuff is happening now. Shelby’s predictions of what was to happen in Portland Oregon and came true are uncanny. So happy my daughter moved out of that Town.
